topics that can sometimes be uncomfortable for clients. It requires a meeting
of the hearts more than the meeting of the minds.

To be a successful Legacy Advisor you
must be an expert on the topic, understand your client's point of view and
learn how to properly communicate. This requires research, reading, borrowing
ideas from other legacy advisors and going through the process yourself.

Create a process utilizing our easy
customizable system
Clients are best served when legacy
planning is offered as a formal process. It gives the clients guidance, sets
their expectations and creates consistency in your delivery. You may even wish
to include the legacy planning process as a subset of your financial planning
process.

Make the commitment
Determine your implementation
strategy, revise your business plan and begin getting clients through the
process. After you have implemented the process a handful of times, you will
not only feel comfortable but inspired to do more.

What educational requirements does this designation have? |
|
Practical Educational Experience includes 3 or more years of work in a trust department or similar. Completion of recognized educational courses. You may receive preference with a masters degree, MBA, CPA, CFA, trust or estate planning certificate, PhD, DBA, Juris Doctor or LLM Degree from an accredited university or college along with relevant industry experience. Managers, executives, and professionals with 5 or more years of experience may take our 5 day on-site executive training courses with exit exams to secure AILEP designation. |

What examinations must be passed to receive this designation? |

Candidates must complete AILEP self study course, other relevant courses, approved certificates, or existing designation training of which would be reviewed by the Board of Standards. Masters degree, CPA, PhD, CFA, and other degrees and designations may apply to meet educational and testing requirements. |
